PM Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Karachi for Railway Station Launch

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on Monday for a one-day visit. He was received at the airport by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and other officials. The prime minister’s main agenda was to inaugurate the newly renovated Cantt railway station. The up-gradation project is aimed at improving facilities for passengers traveling through one of Karachi’s busiest stations.

During the visit, PM Shehbaz Sharif will inspect the newly modernized facilities at the Cantt railway station. Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi will provide a detailed briefing on the improvements made at the station. The project includes the construction of two modern lounges and three spacious waiting halls, designed to enhance passenger comfort. Additionally, the station now features four newly installed escalators to improve accessibility.

The up-gradation work also includes the completion of executive washrooms, providing better amenities for travelers. An information desk has been set up to assist passengers and answer queries, further improving the station’s services. These enhancements are part of an effort to modernize Pakistan’s railway infrastructure and offer a more comfortable experience for commuters.

The renovation of the Cantt station is expected to ease congestion and improve passenger flow, making the station more efficient.
